Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum

The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum has commissioned me to create the following original paintings to support their fundraising efforts. I am pleased to be associated the museum and to support their efforts in preserving the railroad heritage of the Berkshires. The original paintings are on display at the museum located in the historic depot in Lenox, MA.

Lenox

New Haven RDC No. 42 stops at Lenox on a cold winter evening in early December. This would be the last departure of the day from Pittsfield, MA to New York City as twilight descends upon Lenox. The station building itselfis warm and inviting as the single car train readies for its departure. BSRM plans to fully restore this surviving New Haven Budd car and it may someday call upon the Lenox station again.

Stockbridge

A single FL-9 powers a short passenger train southbound past the Stockbridge Station on the New Haven's Berkshire Line. It's the early 1960s and The FL-9s were relatively new and with their dual-powered configuration enabled trains to run directly into Manhatten's Grand Central Station. Passenger service is long gone on this segment of the line but The Berkshire Scenic Railway plans to return train service again through Stockbridge.
